Born the third son from the local nobility, General Geirr Hrœrekr has spent his entire career dedicated to the service of Svard's defense force. He was one of the very few senior officers who survived the rise of the Whisperer, holding out against both the insidious psychic attack of the Whisperer and the numerous attempted assassinations attempted by those who had fallen to the Xeno's thrall. When the 1st Expeditionary Force was raised for deployment to Damaris he gave up his senior position to command it, knowing that to have any chance in a major war the troops would need skilled leadership and orders coming from someone they could trust. Since then he has felt no regret leaving his old post and thrills at the opportunities and challenges that come his way fighting for the Drake Dynasty.
