This 'ship' is considered an abomination by most spacers, and even non-spacers consider it an offense against engineering and nature. It sat for ten years at "Honest Cal's", a Hutt junker dealer on Naboo. During it's time planetside, all of its systems were cannibalized, replaced with cheaper parts, then those parts were stripped out and replaced with yet other systems. A casual look will see parts and systems from Kuat Drive Yards, MandalMotors, Correlian Engineering Corporation, and more.
What remains is the ugliest, most patched together piece of machinery that only loosely qualifies as a space-worthy vehicle yet somehow manages to not fly apart.
Hull
Starting with the Lictor-class prisoner (dungeon) transport ship, this ship was chopped in half. Nobody knows what happened to the front half. What remains is the rear 400 metres of this ship, so it begins looking like something nobody would ever design.
Main Deck
Internal System Structure
When first encountered, all hallways were filled with uninsulated cabling and wires. When power was eventually restores, the hallways sparked with electricity making travel between sections hazardous.
Bridge
Of all the modifications, the bridge was among the most extreme. All ship functions on the bridge (normally a 20-man crew) has been rewired and centralized into -- wait for it -- a Mandalorian Wars-era Basilisk cockpit. Complete with AI that thinks it's on a Mandalorian battle cruiser. Oh, and it speakers Mando'a, and a little bit of Huttese. And occasionally Verpine. The rest of the bridge systems are tied into the Basilisk so that a single person can staff the entire bridge.
Crew Quarters
A large, completely empty section except for the freshers. All the beds, bunks, partitions, and doors have been removed. It's more of a Crew Warehouse these days.
Prisoner/Cargo Transport Section
Originally designed to house many prisoners, this whole section has been converted into a massive cargo transport space. Loading arms have been installed to help move containers, and the both sides of this part of the ship have been turned into doors (albeit heavily armored doors) to speed up transfer of cargo. Oh, and it's large enough to fit the entire Flaming Cantina inside.
Engineering
In contrast to the hallways, the engineering section is pristine, largely because it and all the main equipment in this section are chromed.
Numerous charging ports for droids exist in this section, but were not available having been taken for resale by 'Honest' Cal.
Engines
Significantly upgraded. If it weren't for all the armor plating, this ship would be moving faster than one of its class. But because of the armoring it moves the same speed as before.
Power System
Normally there is a single large power generator which serves as the main reactor for the ship. Naturally, this has been removed. In its place are a medium-sized reactors with four smaller reactors all daisy-chained together. The smaller reactors serve to 'kickstart' the main reactor to power the ship as well as provide supplemental power. This insane configuration has a side benefit of being able to continue operations in a reduced capacity if one or more of the reactors is taken out.
Additionally, at least one of the kickstarter reactor is itself kickstarted... with an internal combustion engine. That has a ripcord to pull-start it.
Yeah.
Weapons and Defenses
Offensive Systems
There are none. All the quad turbolasers have been removed and replaced with armor plating. (See below.)
Defensive Systems
The ship, until recently, was barely recognizable because of the haphazard patchwork of armoring. Some even had the old ship name still on them, though these have been sandblasted off. While hideous in appearance, it does provide significant armor protection beyond what is reasonable for a ship of this size.
In addition, there is a mysterious new shielding system which provides overlapping coverage similar to Mon Calamari designs from just before the Battle of Hoth. It is interesting that such a modern design in shielding is found on a ship that supposedly hasn't left planet for a decade.
