Events
After a lone survivor returns with news of a Separatist resupply base hidden not far from the Ascendancy, three of the Jedi Knights (accompanied by a Clone Recon squad) fly out to infiltrate the base, recover a captured scout, and destroy the base in their wake. The team emerges from hyperspace to find themselves in the middle of a debris and asteroid cluster, which quickly takes out their sensors, but leaves them hidden from the CIS cruiser in low orbit. Moving quickly to utilized the planet as a shield against the cruiser's sensors, the shuttle quietly sets down in a meadow a few kilometers from the hidden base.
Moments later, they find themselves confronted by native hunters, speaking a distant dialect of Mando'a. The team convinces the native hunting party that they come in peace, to act against the droids, and are taken back to the village. They relate their purpose to the village king, who seems sympathetic. A plotting usurper, however, is not enthralled, and attempts to use the Jedi to justify his claim. A fight breaks out that end with the death of both the king and the usurper, with leadership falling on the prince, who rallies his people to aid the Jedi, but implores them to help search for a lost relic.
Caillte
(Luire System, Trans-Vulta Sector (N-7), Mid Rim)
Caillte is a habitable planet located in the outer rim, notable only for it’s minor role in the Mandalorian Wars that took place thousands of years ago. Now it serves only as a fresh water stop for smugglers and, unbeknownst to most, home to a population of non-technological Mandalorian descendants. The Jedi’s words and recover of a relic helm have left them with a good reputation.
Republic records, once fully searched, show the planet has having been surveyed by the CSA nearly four hundred years ago and used as a base for the detailed survey of the planet Nyriaan before it’s stock of Madilon was judged uneconomical to extract due to the intense storms. A database error has the planet listed as barren.Entering the base secretly by ventilation shaft, the team arrive in the kitchen and sneak out, discovering the base crawling with droids. First stop turns out to be the communications room, where they incapacitate a technounion operator and gain access to the system. Unable to recover a map, however, they must rely on the Force to guide them to their destinations. Careful searching (and a couple of fights) allow them to recover the Relic Helm and their wounded clone and returned to the kitchen, where they are sent back to the surface. The remainder of the team set charges on the bases power generators before making their own escape, reaching the surface just in the nick of time.
