Talk:41-VEX
Initial Build
Like R2, 41-Vex is something of an interesting case. He isn't built using the standard Droid rules, nor his his career/specialization linked up with any of the ones in the main book. Rather then re-invent him, I thought I'd just use the Folio's "Continuing advancement" rules to build him up to the +75. We've used him for a lot of assisting - including aiding R2, aiding Red, Aiding Dr. Max, and Aiding (monitoring) Bric and Brak. He's also often left with the ship to help guard it, which sugests he should invest in some combat training. All he needs is a pop-out autofire blaster harvested from a B2, and he can be the ultimate swiss-army-robot.

41-VEX is one of the EotE starting characters, which I transcribed, then tweaked slightly because of how he was portrayed in our earlier games. That said, I don't think anybody will be too fussed if he's non-standard since we're not making him completely PC-equivalent (to our main characters).

This is what I'm thinking currently for the build:
- Grit (5)
- Surgeon (5)
- These are two of the options from the first advancement
- Stim Application (10)
- Well Rounded: Mechanics, Computers (15)
- These are the other things he's been protrayed with having (and currently has), so it made sense.
- Mechanics (10)
- Computer (5)
- Vigilance (10)
- He does have to watch the ship, and occationaly Bric and Brak
- Leadership (5)
- He is the Droid Wrangler
- Ranged Light (10)

Jan 2016 Update
Note to update to 120 xp, or +45 xp from where they are now.
July 2016 Update
So, with his now 80 xp, he could buy out nearly all of the "Medical Technican" talent tree, except for 1 talent. The easiest would be to leave off resolve until next update.

Where is this from? I was figuring we were going to adhoc 41-VEX since we didn't really have a class for him. Mark (talk) 20:05, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
The character folio for the beginner game, it has an advancement table. Technically it's called "Colonist", but I cut that part off. Using Well Rounded allowed me last time to fill out the Mechanics and Computers he had used. Quicksilver (talk) 20:17, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
Ahh, that makes sense. Although when I compare it to all the Colonist tables, it's clearly not any of those. I think we can probably put together our our own 4th and 5th rows based on the existing talents.
