Captured from the Sea Hag Black Molly, the Harridan is a medium-sized coastal vessel modified to fit its ogre crew and their once piratical occupation. Now that it is back in civil hands the vessel and its oversized crew have been returned to nobler, or at least legal, pursuits.
Vessel Map
(1) Quarterdeck - The Harridan is sailed and commanded from here. Behind the ship's wheel are two firmly mounted ballistas, each equipped with a harpoon chained to a heavy-grade rope, as these were used to pull the target vessels in for boarding.
(2) Main Deck The main sailing deck of the vessel, it has been reinforced to hold up to the weight and impact of swift-moving ogres. Three ironwood grates allow air and direct access to the cargo hold below.
(3) Fo'c'sle Raised above the main deck, the Fo'c'sle mounts the ship's capstan, which has been modified to be able to connect to the ship's anchor or the anchor-sized rope connected to an oversized whaling harpoon and ballista mounted here. In her former line of work, this would be used to harpoon a fleeing merchant vessel and bring them to bear for boarding. The Capstan has been modified for use by four ogres.
(4) Captain's Quarters situated under the quarterdeck, the captain's quarters was the residence of Black Molly and is designed for medium-sized creatures. Although she had dark tastes, the room could be considered comfortably appointed.
(5) Small Rooms (2 decks) situated under the Captain's Quarters, these were the original rooms for passengers, precious cargo, or senior crew. They've been converted for use as a brig and treasury but could be easily converted back. To protect the ships wheel and other components, these remain designed for medium creatures. A door from the bottom leads into the Cargo Hold.
(7) Ogre's Berth Dropping twice as far as the stairs on the other side, these lead to a large multi-purpose room dominated by a stove and racks of food. This room acts as where the oversized crew cooks, eats, sleeps, and relaxes between watches. An ogre-sized door leads from here to the main cargo hold.
Notable Personalities
Gen Krakenbutcher
Gen is an experienced sailer and the nominal leader of the Ogre crew to whom he acts as cook, bosun, and purser. It was to him that the party showed the head of Black Molly and negotiated the crew's and vessel's change in allegiance. He rarely leaves the vessel, and will not accompany the party on expeditions.
