Two pounds of wheat for a day's wages, and six pounds of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!
Administrator Lilisana Fulci is a skilled and cunning adept who has suffered quite a surprising number of turns of fortune. Although she started her life as a mid-level adept in the Administratum, a strong will and ambitious heart lead her to barter, maneuver, and deceive her way up to a senior position in the imperial hierarchy. Her ambition got the better of her, however, when one of her more risky embezzlements caught the attention of investigators. Once the writing was on the wall, she cut a deal with the Chorda Dynasty for relief.
While she could not afford the astronomical cost of a manor on Grace, she was able to barter out much of her wealth for a position as an official at the support city of Port Chorda. While she quickly was able to integrate into the working society, she never makes quite the same inroads with the “noble” clientele she served. She built her way up in the Grace hierarchy until she was nearly running the Port.
Then the orks came. In an unexpected turn of events, the supply station Chorda’s Grace was suddenly taken offline. Suddenly, they were limited to only to the supplies that had already made it to the ground. Her attempts to set up a rationing system were quickly lost amid the mad scramble of fear as the highly dependent colony fell into swabbing ruin, corruption spreading with reckless abandon.
Fending for herself, she arranged dozens of crates of emergency corpse rations to be transferred to her house, initially as a precaution against starvation but eventually provided her relief against the horrific meals that the cannibals of Grace turned to. An action that likely saved her from the corruption that spread through the rest of the city.
Her final salvation came in the form of the Drake Dynasty. She quickly seized the opportunity they provided and contacted them for a way off of the planet, trading her local authority and access to the corrupted “lord” of Grace in exchange for an appointment at one of the young lord’s colonies.
